Joseph Labak, age 78 of Lake Delton, Wisconsin, passed away peacefully Thursday, October 24, 2013, at his residence.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday, October 26, 2013, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church in Wisconsin Dells with Father Michael Richel celebrating. Visitation will be held at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church on Saturday from 9 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m. Burial will be at St. Adalbert's Cemetery in Niles, Illinois at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 29, 2013.

Joseph was born August 1, 1935, in Jastrzabka Stara, Poland, the son of Wojciech and Anna (Walega) Labak. In 1962 he married Barbara Kusiak and they owned and operated the Olympia Motel for many years in Lake Delton. Barbara preceded Joseph in death in February of 1999. Joseph was a member of the Polish military in his younger years and here in the Dells area was a past officer of the Polish Club of Wisconsin Dells/Lake Delton.

Joseph is survived by his sons, John of Lake Delton and Steven (Jamie) of Schaumburg, Illinois; grandsons, Trevor and Dylan; and brothers, Kazimierz and Wladyslaw. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Barbara and a brother, Staszek.
