Jennifer "Jenny" Wake

STOUGHTON-Jennifer “Jenny” Wake-Stokstad, age 30, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, surrounded by her family.

She was born on April 14, 1983, in Madison, the daughter of Diane Hill. Jenny graduated from Cambridge High School in 2001. Jennifer and Christian Stokstad devoted their lives together and were blessed with a son, Harvey. She was an avid Brewers fan and March of Dimes advocate, especially after her son’s birth.

Jenny is survived by her mother, Diane Hill; stepfather, Bill Hill; father, Mark Wake; son, Harvey Jens Stokstad; life companion, Christian Stokstad; sisters, Becky Wake and Amanda Skaar; nephews, Landon, Blake, Brady, and Alex; grandma, Etta Hill; grandpa, Don Walter; grandparents, Jim and Carol Wake; Godfather, Lane Wake; Godmother, Debby Paape; and is further survived by many loving aunts, uncles, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandpa, Bob Hill; great-grandparents, Homer and Edna Wake and Les and Ruth Godding; and great-grandma, Josie Evenson.

Funeral services will be held at OUR SAVIOUR’S LUTHERAN CHURCH, 1201 Droster Road, Madison, at 11 a.m. on Friday, May 17, 2013, with the Rev. Brad Homan presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Thursday, May 16, 2013.

A special thank you to UW Hospital, especially to the F65 staff at UW Hospital, Three Gaits, Community Living Alliance, Cip Kop, Jenna Fieser for her unconditional support, and all who provided physical therapy to allow Jenny to live life to her highest potential.
