Jeffrey Allen Cobb

Jeffrey Allen Cobb,  age 49 of Rural Argyle, died unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22, 2013 at his home.

Jeff was born in Alma, IL on January 20, 1964, the son of Ronnie M. Cobb and Leilini (Pate) Cobb Sudeth. He farmed in the Lena-Winslow area for several years before marrying Jessica D. Leonhard on August 30, 1996 in Beardstown, IL. He worked for the Operating Engineers Local #965 as a heavy equipment operator and also worked on Mississippi River channel maintenance as a River Pilot for the Great Lakes Dredge and Dock Company. Jeff loved racing dirt bikes with his son and riding his Harley Davidson.

He is survived by his wife, Jessica D. Cobb and their son and daughter, Jeffrey Richard and Stevie Marie Cobb, all of Jordan Township; his daughter, Lacey Paul of Gratiot; his grandson, Michael Ubersox; two brothers, Douglas Cobb of Springfield, IL, and David Cobb of Warren, IL; and two sisters, Christy Grenoble or Nora, IL, and Rhonda Berger of Williamsport, PA. He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Haley Nicole Cobb; and his step-father, Butch Sudeth.

Memorial services will be held at a later date in Beardstown, IL.

The Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe, is assisting the family.
