Gloria Jeanie Watson, age 71, of Beloit, formerly of Milton, died on Thursday, March 27, 2014, at Beloit Health & Rehabilitation Center. She was born in Harrisburg, PA on January 10, 1943, the daughter of Jerry and Maggie (Wetzel) Sterner and was a graduate of Milton Union High School. Jeanie married Jack Watson on April 4, 1970, and he preceded her in death on March 30, 1982. She worked at Nunn Bush Shoes for 10 years. Jeanie loved animals and always had a cat or dog. Her favorite hobbies were knitting and Bingo.

She is survived by her 2 siblings; Geri (Ken) Ziegelmann of Janesville and Bob (Shirley) Sterner of Milton; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and 2 sisters; Alice Hensel and Flora Mae Sterner.

A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 2, 2014, at SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville. Burial will be at Milton Municipal Cemetery. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY, Janesville is assisting the family. Memorials can be made in Gloria's name to the Rock Co. Humane Society.
