George Fetzek

Verona/Belleville, WI-George Fetzek, age 83, passed away on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at Avalon Senior Care in Madison.

He was born at City Point, WI in Jackson County to Frank and Mary Fetzek. George was raised by Joseph and Ethel Coffey in the Yellowstone area near Blanchardville, WI. On July 23, 1949 he was united in marriage to Arlene Pederson.

George farmed for many years and later worked for Dairy Equipment in Madison until retiring.

George is survived by his two daughters Christine (Russell) Ace of Belleville, WI and Gail (Claire) Rundhaug of New Glarus, WI, three grandchildren Dan (Melodie) Ace of New Glarus, WI, Jeff (Tracy) Ace of Monticello, WI, and Amber (David) Tierman of New Glarus, WI, seven great-grandchildren Brittany (Jordan Betker) Fillbach, Austin Steffen, Hunter & Brayden Tierman, and Jeffrey, Owen, & Kade Ace, and a great-great-grandson Jionni Betker. He is further survived by a sister Mary Cartusciello.

He was preceded in death by his parents, an infant son George Alan, and his wife Arlene on June 20, 2011. Also preceding him in death were three sisters Marie Vondrum, Dorothy Hetletved, and Helen Olson and three brothers LeRoy and Paul Fetzek and Richard Coffey.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI with Pastor Shirley Kelter officiating. Burial will be in the St. Michaels Catholic Cemetery rural Blanchardville, WI.

Relatives and friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Monday, July 22, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home in Belleville.
