Francis A. "Pete" Pietrowski, age 93, of Janesville, died on Monday, April 14, 2014, at home after a long battle with lung cancer. His theme song was "Lord It's Hard To Be Humble When You're Perfect In Every Way". Now he is forever perfect. He was born in Stevens Point on April 3, 1921, the son of Edward "Poppy" and Anne "Mom" Pietrowski. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He married Ruth Gothard in 1940 and she preceded him in death in 1970. Pete later married Bernice Burdick Schyvinck in 1963 and she preceded him in death in 1986. He then married Mary E. Johnson Ackerson in Stevens Point on June 1, 1990, and she preceded him in death on April 27, 2013. He had been employed by Wisconsin Bell Telephone (AT&T) for over 40 years retiring in 1985. Pete was a member of the Loyal Order of Moose and the Telephone Pioneers of America.

He is survived by his 3 children with Ruth Gothard: Jeanne Hills of Madison, Jane (Ron) Wittenberg of Rotunda, FL and Curtis (Becky) Pietrowski of Monaville, TX; 3 step children with Bernice Burdick Schyvinck: Robert (Lois) Schyvinck of Janesville, William (Lynn) Schyvinck of Milton and Jon (Rhonda) Schyvinck of Janesville: 2 step children with Mary Johnson Ackerson: John (Cindy) Ackerson and Jay Ackerson both of Janesville; 11 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 15 great great grandchildren; 11 step grandchildren; 13 step great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son Francis Pietrowski; and his three wives.

Private Services will be held. Lasting Memorials may be made to Home Health United Hospice of Janesville. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
