MADISON -

Ellinor R. Ellerkamp, age 90, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2013, at Oak Park.

She was born on March 22, 1923, in Riga, Latvia, the daughter of Carl and Else Ju?rgensonn. Ellinor was married to Harro Bienert in December of 1944, in Poznan, Poland. Widowed at an early age, she later married Gerhard O. Ellerkamp on March 20, 1948, in Herrsching, Germany.

In 1956, with her family, she emigrated to Madison. She worked various jobs and retired from General Casualty Insurance Company. Ellinor was an active member of Bethel Lutheran Church and its choir, Madison German Club, Dank of Sauk City, and Madison Turners. She enjoyed cooking, crafts, gardening, and entertaining, but especially photography.

Ellinor is survived by her two sons, Gerhard (Peggy) and Frank (Liz); son-in-law, Bill Harris; 12 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands, Harro and Gerhard; her parents; brothers, Kurt and Gert; sister, Rottraut; daughter, Gisela; and granddaughter, Sandra.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Dr., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, with the Rev. Curt Everson presiding. Burial will be at Roselawn Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Wednesday. Memorials may be directed to the American Cancer Society.
