MADISON-Eleanor Skinner, age 101, passed away on Saturday, March 22, 2014, at Wynwood West of Madison.
She was born on July 26, 1912, to Rufus and Lydia Cooper in Dawson, Ill. While her husband, Joe, was employed by IBM, they lived in Chicago and Minneapolis. He retired in 1971. Eleanor is survived by her daughters, Susan (Fred) Fischer of Cashiers, N.C. and Sally (John) Mather of Madison; grandson, Eric (Joy) Fischer of Savannah, Ga.; niece, Becky Eke of Lewiston, Idaho; and their extended families. She was also the proud great-grandmother of three-year-old triplets. Eleanor was preceded in death by her loving husband of 68 years, Colby “Joe” Skinner.
