Eileen (Norma) Vogel, nee Burns born March 29, 1926, departed this life Thursday, November 21, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Howard R. Vogel.

She was born in Chicago to the late John Francis. and Norma Agatha (Barry) Burns. She grew up on the northwest side of Chicago and graduated from Alvernia Catholic High School. Eileen worked for 28 years for Keebler Company as the CEO Executive secretary.

She lived in Elgin Illinois until June of 2006, when she moved to Willow Pointe Memory Care in Verona, Wisconsin, where she received excellent care for over seven years.

We especially wish to thank the Agrace HospiceCare workers for their excellent care.

Eileen is survived by her son Greg (Aileen) Vogel; daughters, Patti Kuchenbecker and Chris Vogel; granddaughters Stacy (Patrick) Lewis and Major Lexi (Major Rob) Gerbracht, USMC; great grandsons, Xander Lewis and Harry Gerbracht; great-granddaughter, Meg Gerbracht; brothers, Richard (Rosalie) Burns and Mike P. (Donna) Burns, Sr.; sisters-in-law, Nancy Burns, and Erika Burns.

Eileen was preceded in death by her husband Howard; brothers, John F. “Jack” Burns Jr., Robert (Joan) Burns, Jerome Burns and David Burns and a sister, Evelyn (Jay) Osmon.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation in Eileen’s name to Agrace HospiceCare, 5395 E Cheryl Parkway, Madison, WI 53711.

Committal services will be held at QUEEN OF HEAVEN CATHOLIC CEMETERY, 1400 S. Wolf Road, Hillside, Illinois 60126, ph. 708-449-6100 at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, November 26, 2013.
