Dorothy Ann Scott, 85, of Platteville died on Tuesday. June 11, 2013 at Manor Care Health Services, Platteville.

Funeral services will be 12:00 p.m. (Noon) Saturday, June 15, 2013 at the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville. Rev. Jeff Pedersen will officiate. Burial will be at Hillside Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service on Saturday at the church. Memorials may be made to the Dorothy Ann Scott Memorial Fund. Dorothy was born on May 6, 1928 in Platteville, the daughter of Wesley and Lenice (Speth) Stephens. She was united in marriage to Sheldon Scott on November 16, 1946 at First English Lutheran Church, Platteville. She was a member of the Lutheran Church of Peace, Platteville. Dorothy enjoyed playing bridge, gardening and tending to her flowers. She loved to spend time with her grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband, Sheldon of Platteville; five children, Cynthia (Richard) Freydinger of DeKalb, IL; Stephen (Judy) Scott of Belmont, WI; Shelley (Louis) Cary of Cody, WY; J. Michael (Pam) Scott of Dickeyville, WI; Richard Paul Scott of Lancaster; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two brothers, Harlan (Donna) Stephens and Roger (Judy) Stephens all of Platteville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one daughter, Janie Jo Drago.
