David P. "Dave" Ott, age 51, of Stoughton, passed away unexpectedly of a heart attack, on Friday, June 14, 2013. He was born on Nov. 2, 1961, in Milwaukee, the son of Donald and Mary (Feak) Ott. Dave graduated from Southwest High School in Green Bay in 1980. He served his country in the U.S. Navy on a nuclear submarine as an electrician's mate, which led to his lifelong career as an electrician. Dave was united in marriage to Denise Nelson in November of 1991. As a Master Electrician, he started D&D Wiring Service in 2000 and had a passion for his work. He loved trains, traveling, relaxing in the sun, singing, rebuilding car engines, studying God's word and His attributes, and sharing the gospel.

Dave also loved reading, was very knowledgeable, and enjoyed sharing his views with others. Dave is survived by his wife, Denise; sons, Casey and Jesse; parents, Donald and Mary Ott; parents-in-law, Leonard and Donna Nelson; sisters, Lisa (Bruce) Wanish, and Cyndi (Tim) Roberts; brother, Eric (Elizabeth) Ott; sister-in-law, Renee (Mickey) Baumgartner; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his paternal and maternal grandparents; and niece, Beth Baumgartner. A Memorial Service will be held at GUNDERSON STOUGHTON FUNERAL HOME, 1358 Hwy. 51, Stoughton, at 11 a.m., on Friday, June 21, 2013. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 20, 2013. Dave graciously gave the gift of life through his organ donation.   • PHOTOS: Viewers drop off sensitive documents for Shredfest

    The WISC-TV studio parking lot was busy with hundreds of viewers bringing their sensitive documents to be destroyed as part of Shredfest with the Better Business Bureau Saturday morning.

    A combined 1,295 cars dropped off bags of papers at WISC-TV on Raymond Road and SVA Certified Public Accountants firm on John Q. Hammons Drive.

    News 3 and Better Business Bureau team members unloaded bags of documents from viewers' cars and Pellitteri Waste Systems' Data Destruction team put the papers into the shredding trucks.
