The Lord called Carrie Jean Dority, age 61, home on Wednesday, July 17, 2013.
She was born to the late Louis C. and Frances McNeal on Sept. 16, 1951. Carrie was loved and cherished by her family and friends. She will be missed dearly.
Carrie Jean Dority confessed her life to Christ at an early age and surely went home to be with Him. She left behind to cherish her memory, her loving companion, Martin Ellis; a daughter, Aretha L. Kimble; two sons, John T. Kimble Jr. II, and Bobbly K. Kimble; three sisters, Rosie McNeal, DeLois McNeal, and Annetta (James) McNeal, all of Madison; three brothers, J.L. (Willie Mae) Sommers of Columbus, MS, Louis T. (Karen) McNeal of St. Louis, MO, and James McNeal of Madison; four grandchildren, Carrie Henderson, Asia Brown, Jaylia Kimble, and John Kimble III.; and two great-grandchildren. She is further survived by a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Carrie was preceded in death by parents; a ‘Special’ nephew, Keonte Garel; and her loving sister, Qubie Ann McNeal.
Funeral services will be held at SECOND BAPTIST CHURCH, 4303 Britta Parkway, Madison, at Noon on Friday, July 26, 2013, with Pastor David A. Smith presiding. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
