Bruce W. Le Roy

MADISON-Bruce W. Le Roy, age 85, of Madison, completed his earthly journey on Friday, April 4, 2014.

He was born on Oct. 28, 1928, in New Chester, the son of Walter and Elda (Morgan) Le Roy. Bruce was united in marriage to Shirley Mc Mahon on Dec 27, 1958, in Montello. Bruce was a veteran of the Korean War, and served his country in the U.S. Army from 1948 until 1952. He spent a majority of that time in Germany. He was an employee of Madison Kipp for 38 years, retiring in 1990. Bruce acquired many skills when it came to home repairs throughout the years. He was a member of the EAA for 23 years, and enjoyed flying with his neighbor, Tom Thomas. He was also a member of the VFW Post # 7591, American Legion Post 501, and Eastside Businessmen’s Association.

Bruce is survived by his wife, Shirley; son, Shelley (Ann) Le Roy; Daughter, Paula (John) Obmascher; grandchildren, Sarah, Ryan and Michelle Le Roy, Kayla and Kalena Obmascher; and brother, Robert Le Roy. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother, Richard Le Roy.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, April 10, 2014, with Father Randy Timmerman presiding. Burial will be at Westfield South Cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of Mass on Thursday.
