Bobby W. Allison

Bobby W. Allison, age 85, of Janesville, died on Tuesday, June 11, 2013, at Our House Memory Care, Janesville.

He was born in Rockford, IL on July 7, 1927, the son of Oscar and Lavetta (Townsend) Allison. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII, stationed in the Pacific and earned two bronze Campaign Stars. Bobby married June Blake in Chicago on May 6, 1948, and she preceded him in death on May 7, 2002. He had been a Janesville resident most of his adult life. Bobby had been employed by General Motors until his retirement in 1987, and Singer Sewing Company. He was a member of the VFW Post 1621, and a past member of the Loyal Order of Moose.

He is survived by his 3 children: Scott (Judy) Allison, April (Robert) Krejcarek and Leslie (Orin) Allen all of Janesville; 6 grandchildren: Brandon (Kelly) Allison, Tyler Allison, Kristy (Joe) Harmel, Jenny Suhr, Amanda (Chris) Waldhart and Ruark (Kendra) Allen; 8 great grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other extended family and friends, especially his special friend, Jean. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jean Legget.

A Private Family service will be held at Milton Lawns Memorial Park Chapel with Rev. David Brynelson officiating. Interment will be in Milton Lawns Memorial Park. SCHNEIDER APFEL SCHNEIDER & SCHNEIDER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATORY is assisting the family.
