CROSS PLAINS/NAPLES, FLA- Theresa M. Ripp, age 98, passed away peacefully at her residence at “Vi” Care Center in Naples, Fla., on Thursday, Dec. 27, 2012. Theresa M. Ripp was born on April 15, 1914, to Fred C. Bollig and Clara Brunner of Cross Plains. She was married to Raymond P. Ripp for 55 years before he passed away in 1991. She was a loving and very caring person. Theresa devoted her life to Ray and raising her daughter, Clara, and doing volunteer work for her community, St. Francis Xavier Church and St. Mary’s Hospital. Her specialty was flower arranging and entertaining. She held a life membership in the WI Garden Club Federation and The National Council of State Garden Clubs.

Surviving her is her daughter, Clara (George) Minch; her grandchildren, Michelle Feldman of Danville, Calif., Danielle (John) Jaeschke of Wheaton, Ill., Charles (Robin) George of Littleton, Colo; and her nine great-grandchildren, Joshua, Daniel, and Andrew Feldman, Joey, Jaime and Thomas Jaeschke, and Wilson, Carly and Christina George. Her only surviving brother is Leonard Bollig. She is further survived by her sisters-in-law, Delores Bollig, Beadie Bollig, Katie Bollig and Joyce Bollig. Preceding her in death was her husband, Raymond Ripp; their infant son, John Charles; her brothers, Robert (Rhoda), Edward, Herbert and Ray Bollig; and her sisters, Katherine (Joe) Kalscheur and Mary (Walter) Haack.

Theresa spent her last 16 years living in Bentley Village (recently renamed “Vi”), a retirement community in Naples, Fla., where she moved to be near her daughter and son-in-law, Clara and George. She enjoyed every level of living there from independent living, assisted living and then total nursing care in the Care Center. Theresa had a peaceful, full life and was always happy and content.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. FRANCIS XAVIER CATHOLIC CHURCH, 2947 Thinnes St., Cross Plains, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 4, 2013. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. Visitation will be at the church from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the Mass on Friday. On-line condolences may be made at www.gundersonfh.com
