Sheldon P. LaMar

MADISON-Sheldon P. LaMar, age 85, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013. He was born on July 27, 1927, in Baraboo, the son of Percy and Mame (Kolwaske) LaMar. Sheldon graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School and served in the U.S. Navy. He then was employed with Oscar Mayer until his retirement. Sheldon had a variety of interests including, gardening, fishing, hunting, bowling and traveling to Las Vegas. Most of all, he loved to spend time with his family.

Sheldon is survived by his children, Yvonne (Ray) Seeley and Randy LaMar; grandchildren, Daniel and Joshua Seeley, and Alexander and Lauren LaMar; great-grandchildren, Tayler, Jade, and Michael Seeley; and a sister, Mary Sweeney. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Betty Corning, Lucille Brown, and Jeanne Tofson; and a brother, Clifford LaMar.

Funeral services will be held at PICHA FUNERAL HOME, 120 East Adams Street, Lake Delton, at 11 a.m. on Friday, Jan. 18, 2013. Burial will be at Lake Delton Village Cemetery. Visitation will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 4:30 p.m. until 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2013, and also at Picha Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. until the time of service on Friday.
