Sharon M. Applebaum, age 61, passed away on Saturday, January 26, 2013 at St. Clare Hospice House in Baraboo. She was born July 30, 1951 to the late Oscar and Vera (Smith) Lange. Sharon married David Applebaum on February 6, 1970. He preceded her in death on April 3, 2007.

She is survived by her siblings, Gary Lange of Black Earth, Duane (Jackie) Lange of Sauk City, Diane Lange of Middleton and Mark (Anna) Lange of Monroe; seven nieces and nephews, Duane Lange Jr, Cherry Lange, Tamara (Chris) Vigus, Julian Lynch, Susan Lange, Joseph Lange and Jammie (Derek Dzuguas-Smith) Lange. She is further survived by many other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother Leon. A visitation will be held at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Hwy 14 West, Mazomanie, from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm on Tuesday, January 29, 2013. Burial will be held in Roselawn Cemetery, Monona at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, January 30.

  • PHOTOS: Viewers drop off sensitive documents for Shredfest

    The WISC-TV studio parking lot was busy with hundreds of viewers bringing their sensitive documents to be destroyed as part of Shredfest with the Better Business Bureau Saturday morning.

    A combined 1,295 cars dropped off bags of papers at WISC-TV on Raymond Road and SVA Certified Public Accountants firm on John Q. Hammons Drive.

    News 3 and Better Business Bureau team members unloaded bags of documents from viewers' cars and Pellitteri Waste Systems' Data Destruction team put the papers into the shredding trucks.
