OREGON-Rosemary Kissling, age 80, of Oregon, passed away on Monday, Dec. 3, 2012, after a brief illness. She was born on April 6, 1932, in Jesup, Iowa, the daughter of Frank and Kathryn Schultz. Following the death of her parents at a young age, she was lovingly raised by her sister and brother-in-law, Frances and Donald Anderson. Rosemary graduated from Independence High School in 1951. She married Erwin Kissling on Aug. 6, 1955. Rosemary was employed at Automatic Temperature in Madison and Dr.’s Plummer and Kellogg Dental Practice in Oregon.
She is survived by her husband of 57 years, Erwin; daughter, Kay Kissling of Stoughton; daughter, Laura Snow of Little Rock, Ark.; sons, Michael (Elaine) Kissling of Stoughton and Daniel (Sara) Kissling of Oregon; grandchildren, Christopher and Thomas Snow, Jake and Emma Kissling, and Peter, Matthew, and Caroline Kissling; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Robert, Wallace, and Leonard Schultz; and sisters, Betty Wilson and Frances Anderson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at HOLY MOTHER OF CONSOLATION CATHOLIC CHURCH, 651 N. Main Street, Oregon, at 4 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 6, 2012, with Father Gary Wankerl presiding. Private burial will be at St. Mary’s Cemetery at a later date. Visitation will be held at the church from 2 p.m. until the time of service on Thursday. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation or Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.
