Ron was born August 2, 1935 in Madison, WI the son of the late Ralph and Hazel (Tisserand) Reuter. He attended St. Patrick Grade School and graduated from Madison East High School in 1954. Three days later he went to work as a meter reader for MG&E. In 1957 he took a job with the City of Madison and in 1959 he joined the Madison Fire Department. During his 17 years with the Madison Fire Department he earned a promotion to Lieutenant and moved into the Fire Prevention Bureau ensuring businesses met the state Fire Codes. In 1976 he moved to Tomah, WI and began working for the State of Wisconsin as Director of Emergency Government for Western Wisconsin and as Head of Fire and Rescue Services for the State of Wisconsin. He retired from the state on his birthday in 1990 and moved back “home” to Madison. In February 1991 he started working part time as a driver for Widen Enterprises.

Laughing and remembering with them the “good ole days” and he never missed a family gathering.
