Madison, WI-Ralph M. Adler, age 85, of Middleton passed away on Friday, January 18, 2013 at Middleton Village Nursing and Rehabilitation.

He was born on February 13, 1927 in Ashton, WI to his parents Henry and Anna (Acker) Adler. On October 14, 1950 he was united in marriage to Julia O’Connor at St. William’s Catholic Church in Paoli. He served in the military during the Korean War. Ralph had a passion for farming and had farmed in Cooksville, WI, and later he worked for the University of Wisconsin-Housing. He was a member of the St. Thomas of Aquinas Catholic Church. Ralph was a craftsman, house painter, and gardener. He also enjoyed traveling and spending time with his family and friends.

Ralph is survived by his wife Julia of Madison, children Ann (Gary) Patrick of Lenexa, KS, Tom (Rose) Adler of Madison, WI, Theresa Loerke of Madison,WI, Beth (Larry) Heffron of Brooklyn, WI, Carolyn Wheeler of Pearland, TX, Peggy (Jeff) Guelzow of Cockeysville, MD, and Stephanie (Rand) Griffin of Highland, MD, fourteen grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. He is further survived by two sisters Mary (Jim) Kenneavy of Mesa, AZ and Carol (Larry) Moore of Mesa, AZ, a sister-in-law Betty Adler of Fort Atkinson, WI, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister Charlotte, and a brother Al.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, January 21, 2013 at St. Thomas of Aquinas Catholic Church, 602 Everglade Dr., Madison, WI with the Msgr. Donald Heiar officiating with burial in the St. William’s Cemetery, Paoli, WI.

Relatives and friends may call from 9:30 a.m. until time of services on Monday, January 21, 2013 at the St. Thomas of Aquinas Catholic Church.

The family would like to thank the staffs of Middleton Village Nursing and Rehabilitation, Oak Park Assisted Living, Agrace HospiceCare, and all others who helped care and provide support for Ralph and his family.

A memorial fund has been established.

The Becker-Beal Funeral Home of Belleville is serving the family.
