Norman L. Hollis

Belleville, WI-Norman L. Hollis, age 74, of Belleville passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Meriter Hospital. He was born on January 2, 1939 at Brooklyn, WI to his parents Ervin and Alice (Kuhl) Hollis. Norman graduated from Belleville High School in 1957. He then began working at Kolis & Keegan in Belleville and then Wolff Kubly & Herzing. Norman then started working for Pyramid Motors in Madison as an auto mechanic. Later Pyramid became Ahrens Cadillac and he worked as a salesman. On February 15, 1958 Norman was united in marriage to Ileen Peterson. He was a member of the Grace United Methodist Church in Belleville. Norman enjoyed his walks around town and telling jokes and conversing with those along the way. He also enjoyed music, dancing, and playing cards.

Norman is survived by his wife Ileen Hollis, mother Alice Hollis, three children; Norleen (Bill) Lacy, Marc Hollis, and Carmen Hollis, six grandchildren; Matt, Denise, Jon, Ashlee, Kaitlyn, and Erin, two great-grandchildren Rylee and Sierra with a third on the way. He is further survived by his brothers; Gerald Hollis and Jimmie (Priscilla) Hollis, sisters; Joyce (Pete Vernig) Little, Judy (Ernie) Furrer, and Jolene (Gary) Buttenhoff, and nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, brothers Raymond and Wayne, and a sister Audrey.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, March 4, 2013 at the Grace United Methodist Church, 236 W. Pearl St., Belleville, WI with the Rev. Edwin Vargas officiating with burial in the Belleville Cemetery.

Relatives and friends may call from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, March 3, 2013 at the Becker-Beal Funeral Home, 109 Greenway Cross, Belleville, WI.

A memorial fund has been established.

Thank you to all the staff at Meriter Hospital on ICU, 6 Tower, and 11 Tower who cared for dad during his hospital stay. You are all angels!
