MADISON-Michael J. Mallach, age 61, of Madison, entered eternal life on Dec. 25, 2012. He was born on May 4, 1951, in Watertown, WI the son of Marie and Leonard Mallach. Mike married Kathleen Cudnohowski on Aug. 11, 1973, in Watertown.

They were blessed with over 39 years together and four beautiful children. Mike was a department manager for Kmart, where he thoroughly enjoyed working with his customers, retiring after 35 years of service. Mike enjoyed the simple things in life like spending time with family and friends. He found pure joy in his grandchildren and companion Bailey Blue. Mike enjoyed long walks, bird watching, bicycling and listening to country music. God and family always came first. He was the family rock and compass.

Mike is survived by his loving wife, Kathy; children, Lisa, Jacob, Joseph and Jonathan Mallach: grandchildren, Katlyn, Shawn and Ava; brother, Leon (Kathie) Mallach. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Michael will be celebrated at ST. DENNIS CATHOLIC CHURCH, 505 Dempsey Rd., Madison, at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 29, 2012, with Father Kent Schmitt presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Gunderson_Funeral Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday. Memorials may be directed to St. Dennis Catholic School, Madison WI.

The family wishes to extend a sincere thank you to the EMS Fire Station #5 on Cottage Grove Road for their quick response, care and compassion. Mike was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He will be deeply missed.

We love you, until we meet again.

Memorials may be directed to St. Dennis Catholic Church School.

Visitation:
Visitation will be at the church from 9 a.m. until the time of service on Saturday.

Service:
