MADISON – Maxine C. Beck, age 96, passed away on Saturday, March 2, 2013. She was born on Feb. 17, 1917. Maxine was the daughter of Dr. Perry Doughty and Edith (Baskin) Doughty. She was raised in Juneau, along with her brother, Lyle. Maxine received a bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from the University of Wisconsin in 1939. In 1948, she married John H. Beck. Together they raised two children in Hales Corners, Carol Beck of Madison and Jim Beck of Roanoke, Texas. Maxine was a loving mother, grandmother, friend, and a devoted wife.
