MADISON- Mark A. Cooley, age 57, of Madison, passed away on Friday, Dec. 7, 2012, at St. Mary’s Hospital. He was born on Aug. 9, 1955, in Lancaster, the son of Nelson and Leola (Brinkman) Cooley. Mark was a longtime Madison property manager. He enjoyed traveling and time spent in Florida, socializing with friends, gardening and animals.

Mark is survived by his partner of 33 years, Al Skinner of Madison; sisters, Darleen Laufenberg of Monona, Sharon (Dave) Adams and Cindy Cooley, both of Albany; nieces, nephews, other relatives and numerous friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Coleen, Nelson and Karen.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at 2 p.m., on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, with the Rev. Jerry Amstutz presiding. Visitation will be at the funeral home from noon until the time of service on Wednesday. Private family inurnment will be in Edgerton at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials in Mark’s name are encouraged to the Dane County Humane Society, 5132 Voges Road, Madison, Wisconsin 53718.
