Superior / Dodgeville - Kirk Foley, age 57, of Superior, formerly of Dodgeville, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2012.  He was born on January 4, 1955 in Viroqua WI, son of John and Helen (Moeller) Foley of Dodgeville.  Our hearts are heavy to lose you, yet we know you are now with Nancy and your five angels, Kelly, Tim, Katie, Lauren and Shawn.  Kirk tragically lost his family in a house fire in 1996.

Kirk will be dearly missed by is lovely daughter, Lora Foley, age 11.  He was a devoted father and loved his daughter dearly.  He is survived by his ex-wife Lori Randa, and his many adoring family members.  His sisters: Delores (Mort) Moyer of Middleton, WI, Kathy (Dale) Chellevold of Dodgeville, WI.  His nieces and nephews: K. Jonathan Moyer, Joel Moyer, Karen (Chellevold) Fisher, Lori (Chellevold) Meudt.

Kirk was a man of many talents, skills and accomplishments.  He graduated from University of Wisconsin Platteville and from Drake University with a JD in law. He had a law practice in Hurley Wisconsin for many years, was an Administrative Law Judge for the county courts and did pro bono work as a public defender.  In his later years he did real estate development.

He was a dedicated father and husband.  He enjoyed reading, politics, and was a ski instructor. He was a hobby farmer with a yearly vegetable garden, raising pigs and various small animals and loved planting and harvesting his fruit trees.

Kirk, you have gone before us yet we know we will meet again - you will watch over us and be our guardian angel - gone but never forgotten.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012 at ST.JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC CHURCH, 306 Ellwood St., Dodgeville.  Father Patrick Wendler will officiate.  Burial will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery.  Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Friday at ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC CHURCH.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorials be made to an education fund for Kirk's daughter, Lora.
