Kathie J. Snider

Kathie J. Snider, age 66 of Juda, died Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at Monroe Clinic Hospital. Kathie was born July 5, 1946 in Monroe, the daughter of the late Everett and Marian (Tollefson) Erickson. She graduated from New Glarus High School in 1964 and married Robert D. Snider on December 12, 1964. Kathie and Bob farmed on the Floyd Trumpy farm in Mt. Pleasant Township until moving to Spring Grove Township where they farmed from 1968 to 2000. Kathie loved time spent with her grandchildren and enjoyed flowers, gardening, and feeding the birds.

She is survived by her husband, Bob Snider of Juda; three children, Michael (Nancy) Snider of Orangeville, IL, Amy Lipman of Gurnee, IL, and Brian (Michelle) Snider of Monroe; six grandchildren, Samantha (Ben), Steve, Taylor, Jacob, Erica, and Elizabeth; two sisters, Ruth Ann Raftery of Middleton, and Diane (Van) Loeffel of Monticello; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of Kathie’s life will be held on Monday, March 4, 2013, at 11:00 a.m., at the Newcomer Funeral Home, Monroe. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Sunday, March 3, from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. Memorials may be given in Kathie’s name to the Arthritis Foundation, 1650 S. 108th.
