Francine I. Meicher

MADISON- Francine Isabelle Meicher, age 81, passed peacefully on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, and is now in the arms of her savior. She was born June 16, 1931, the daughter of Nicholas and Isabelle Kovacs, in Evanston, Ill. She was joined in marriage to William Meicher on June 23, 1951.

She was an accomplished pianist, and enjoyed gardening, especially in her rose garden. She loved cats, knitting and crocheting, and was very proud of her Christmas dinners. She was a loving, patient wife, who always had a smile on her face.

She is survived by her dedicated husband, William; her children, Lauralee (Jerry) Rood, and William Nicholas (Lequida) Meicher; eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a sister, MaryAnn (Fabio) Ramirez.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2012, at OUR LADY QUEEN OF PEACE CATHOLIC CHURCH, 401 S. Owen Drive, with Fr. John Nellissery presiding. Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of Mass at the church.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to Four Winds Manor and Agrace HospiceCare, Inc.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Agrace HospiceCare, Inc., would be appreciated.
