Everett Rice

MADISON-Everett Rice, age 74, of Madison, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 10, 2013, after fighting a courageous battle with cancer. He was born on Feb. 4, 1938, in Boscobel, the son of Neil and Ruby (Kling) Rice. Everett was inducted in the Wisconsin State Strings Museum Hall of Fame “The Rice Family”.

He is survived by his wife of 23 years, Theresa; children, Randy Rice, Lori (Al) Laufenberg, Troy (Renee) Rice, Jason (Laura) Edge and Tracy Talbot (Jason Smith); 10 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lorraine (Henry) Sedin, Beverly (Lee) Jewett, Janice (Wayne) Smith, Mary (Ron) Semrad, and Bobby G. (Alice) Rice.

Funeral services will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, at Noon on Monday, Jan. 14, 2013, with Pastor Robert Lawrence presiding. Burial will be at Highland Memory Gardens. Visitation will be at the funeral home from 10 a.m. until the time of service on Monday.
