Eunice B. Eberhardt

MADISON-Eunice B. Eberhardt, age 87, passed away on Tuesday, February 26, 2013 at St. Mary’s Care Center. She was born on August 20, 1925 in Springfield Corners, the daughter of Francis X. and Rose A. (Kohlman) Endres. Eunice graduated from Middleton High School and attended the University of Wisconsin–Madison. She was united in marriage to Herbert F. Eberhardt on June 5, 1948. He preceded her in death after 42 years of marriage. Eunice taught 4-H sewing classes for many years, was a member of the Monona Bay Garden Club and enjoyed floral arranging, playing board games and cards, but truly treasured most the time she spent with her family. Eunice was a loving mother who will be greatly missed by all.

She is survived by her five children, Rick (Connie) Eberhardt, Mary (Greg) DiPiazza, Louise (John) Bauhs, all of Middleton, Jeanne Eberhardt of Hoffman Estates, IL and Thomas (Dawn) Eberhardt of Alexandria, LA; nine grandchildren, Matt (Erin) and Mitch (Megan) Eberhardt, Jason (Allison Adams) DiPiazza, Tara (Matt) Shaw, Katie DiPiazza, Anna and Kayla Bauhs, and Emily and Elizabeth Eberhardt; three great-grandchildren, Ethan and Amelia Eberhardt and Kylie Shaw and a soon to be born great -grandchild. She is further survived by a sister, Rose Evans and a brother-in-law, Gerald Sullivan. In addition to her loving husband, Eunice was preceded in death by her parents, a sister, Kay Sullivan, her twin sister, Agnes Geagan and brothers-in-law.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD PARISH, ST JAMES, 1128 St. James Court, Madison at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2013, with Monsignor Thomas Baxter presiding. Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Madison at a later date. The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the staff at St. Mary’s Care Center for their loving care of Eunice. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Olbrich Gardens or Agrace HospiceCare, Inc.

Visitation:
Visitation will be held on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service at the church.

Service:
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at GOOD SHEPHERD PARISH, ST JAMES, 1128 St. James Court, Madison at 11:00 AM on Saturday, March 2, 2013, with Monsignor Thomas Baxter presiding.

Cemetery:
Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Madison at a later date.

  • PHOTOS: Viewers drop off sensitive documents for Shredfest

    The WISC-TV studio parking lot was busy with hundreds of viewers bringing their sensitive documents to be destroyed as part of Shredfest with the Better Business Bureau Saturday morning.

    A combined 1,295 cars dropped off bags of papers at WISC-TV on Raymond Road and SVA Certified Public Accountants firm on John Q. Hammons Drive.

    News 3 and Better Business Bureau team members unloaded bags of documents from viewers' cars and Pellitteri Waste Systems' Data Destruction team put the papers into the shredding trucks.
