Esther R Hernandez

MADISON – Esther R. Hernandez, age 94, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2013. Esther was born in Laredo, TX on November 28, 1918. She married George Hernandez in August of 1937 in Laredo, TX. Esther worked as the head cook at Gratiot Community Hospital in Alma, MI for 25 years. In 1988 they moved to Madison, WI. Esther was a member of Iglesia La Hermosa Pentecostes. She was an avid reader, especially her bible. Esther will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

Esther is survived by her children, Ruth (Julio) Estrada, Sara (Salvador) Franco, Joseph (Rosanne) , Raquel (John) Mojica, Elizabeth (John) Campos and David; 9 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great grandchildren. Preceded in death by her husband and grandchild Annette Franco.

A service will be held at JOYCE-RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 5701 Odana Rd, at 6PM on Wednesday, January 23, 2013 with Rev. Alfonso Avila officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 4PM until time of service on Wednesday. Burial will be at Sunset Memory Gardens.
