Verona-Elmer R. Davis, age 67, passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2012 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Madison. Elmer was born on August 22, 1945 in Ryde, Australia, the son of Elmer and Olga (Seamans) Davis. He married his wife, Denise (Frazier) in 1988. Elmer was an avid Packer, Brewers and Badger fan. He was proud of his time spent in the United States Navy. Elmer worked at Carnes in Verona for seven years. He was also a dedicated newspaper carrier for the Wisconsin State Journal for many years and an even more dedicated family man.

Elmer is survived by his wife Denise; his children Pam (Mark) Waldner, Bobbie (Brian) Lien, and Kyle Davis; his grandchildren Brittany, Garrett, Braeden, and McKayla; his siblings Ellen (Larry) Greenwold, Sandi Pirk, Pat Beckett, Larry Davis, and Dawn (Travis) Nelson, many nieces and nephews, and his dog Anwyn.

He was preceded in death by his parents Elmer and Olga, and his grandparents.

A visitation will be held at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, Verona, on December 6, 2012, from 4pm to 7pm. A Time of Remembrance will take place at the funeral home at 6:30pm where friends and family are invited to share their memories of Elmer.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Dane County Humane’s Society.
