Dr. John Alexander Szweda

MADISON -Dr. John A. Szweda, 86, passed away on Sunday, November 25. Born on November 19, 1926, in Chicago Illinois, to John and Aleksa Szweda, John was the youngest of their ten children. After serving in the Asian theater during World War II, John earned a medical degree at Loyola University in Chicago. Dr. Szweda practiced medicine in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, from 1952 until his retirement in 1992.

He is survived by his five daughters, three sons, fifteen grandchildren, and beloved wife of sixty years, Alice.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Catholic Church, 5001 N. Sherman Ave., Madison, at 1:00PM on Saturday, December 1, 2012, with Monsignor Charles Schluter presiding. Burial will be at St. Mary of the Lake Catholic Cemetery.
