Donna (Meyer) Wenger

Donna (Meyer) Wenger, 61, passed away unexpectedly April 6, 2013 at UW Trauma Life Center in Madison. Donna was born September 16, 1951, the daughter of Donald and Alice Meyer of Browntown. She attended Cadiz Country School, and graduated from Blackhawk High School in 1969. Donna then attended St. Mary's School of Nursing where she received her RN degree in 1972. She then married the love of her life, Terry Wenger, in April of 1972. To this union two children were born, Jason and Sara.

Donna was employed at the Monroe Clinic Hospital for 44 years and enjoyed taking care of other people. She was a lifetime member of the United Church of Christ, attending in both Browntown and Brodhead. She was a great support to many charities. Donna was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was an avid collector of teddy bears. Donna enjoyed spending time with her family and helping everyone she could.

Donna was preceded in death by her parents, Donald and Alice, and her brother, David. She leaves to cherish her memory her husband Terry, son Jason, daughter Sara (Brandon Collier), grandchildren, Katie, LaTasha, Blaze, Jasmine, great grandbaby Athena, brothers Jeff (Debbie) and Steve (Ann), sister Diane, neices, nephews, cousins, and a host of other family and friends, including her co-workers and friends a the Monroe Clinic Hospital.

A vistation will be held from 6 until 8pm on Thursday, April 11, 2013 at the D.L. Newcomer Funeral Home, 1105 E. 9th Ave., Brodhead, WI. Funeral service will be held at 11am on Friday, April 12, 2013 at the Congregational United Church of Christ, E201 23rd St. Brodhead, WI, with visitation from 10am until the time of service at the church.

    The WISC-TV studio parking lot was busy with hundreds of viewers bringing their sensitive documents to be destroyed as part of Shredfest with the Better Business Bureau Saturday morning.

    A combined 1,295 cars dropped off bags of papers at WISC-TV on Raymond Road and SVA Certified Public Accountants firm on John Q. Hammons Drive.

    News 3 and Better Business Bureau team members unloaded bags of documents from viewers' cars and Pellitteri Waste Systems' Data Destruction team put the papers into the shredding trucks.
