Chao Her Moua

MADISON-Heaven received Chao Her Moua on Friday, Feb. 22, 2013. She passed away peacefully surrounded by family at Capitol Lakes Health Center to meet her creator, God. She was a very courageous, military widow, who had to raise four small children without a husband but with the help from relatives during the French and Vietnam Wars in Laos after 1966.

She is survived by her daughters, Bao Her Kong, Nou Her Xiong, and Shoua Her Lee; and son, Kou Her.

A Celebration of Chao’s Life will be held at GUNDERSON EAST FUNERAL HOME, 5203 Monona Drive, Madison, from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday, March 8, 2013, from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Saturday, March 9, 2013, from 4 p.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013, and from 9 a.m. until 11 a.m. on Monday, March 11, 2013. Burial will take place on Monday following the services at Highland Memory Gardens.

  • PHOTOS: Viewers drop off sensitive documents for Shredfest

    The WISC-TV studio parking lot was busy with hundreds of viewers bringing their sensitive documents to be destroyed as part of Shredfest with the Better Business Bureau Saturday morning.

    A combined 1,295 cars dropped off bags of papers at WISC-TV on Raymond Road and SVA Certified Public Accountants firm on John Q. Hammons Drive.

    News 3 and Better Business Bureau team members unloaded bags of documents from viewers' cars and Pellitteri Waste Systems' Data Destruction team put the papers into the shredding trucks.
