Mary H. Margan, 70, of Platteville died on Friday, October 11, 2013 at Epione Pavilion, Cuba City.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2013 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Platteville. Rev. Dave Flanagan will officiate. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery, Platteville. Friends may call from 4:00 – 8:00 p.m., Thursday at the Melby Funeral Home & Crematory, Platteville, where there will be a rosary at 3:45 p.m., friends may also call from 9:30 a.m. until the time of the service on Friday at the church.
Memorials may be made to the Mary H. Margan Memorial Fund.

Mary was born on April 28, 1943 in Montfort, WI, the daughter of John C. and Mary (Kratochvill) Kuchar. She was united in marriage to Leo F. Margan on June 24, 1961 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Platteville. He preceded her in death on March 18, 2006. Mary attended Montfort grade school and White country school. Mary graduated from Platteville High School in 1961. She worked at the Shopping News, was a greeter at K-Mart where she got to meet many people over the years. Later she worked at UW-Platteville and First National Bank, Platteville. She enjoyed antiquing in Galena, buying jewelry and gardening. She was an avid Elvis fan.
She is survived by her nine children, Mark Margan of Hazel Green, WI; Laurie (Terry) Richardson of Cuba City, WI; Deanna (Kurt) Turner of Platteville; Linda (Pat) Moore of Lancaster, WI; William (Michelle) Margan of Linden, WI; Deb (Dave) Bradley of Platteville; Robert Margan of Oregon, WI; Joseph (Peggy) Margan of Antioch, IL; Bryan (Myndi) Margan of Kaukauna, WI; 18 grandchildren; 3 step-grandchildren; sisters, Ann Weigel of Platteville; Barb (Paul) Margan of Cameron, WI; brothers-in-law, John Margan of Platteville; Ralph Margan of Dodgeville; Ambrose Margan of Platteville; Francis Abing of Platteville; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister, Catherine Kuchar, brother-in-law, Richard Weigel, sisters-in-law, Margaret Heffron, Dolores Margan, Cecelia Margan, Mary Abing and Carol Margan.
