Karen was born on May 23, 1939 on Stanton Ridge in Harrison Township, the daughter of Frank and Genevieve (Edge) Stanton. She moved to Lancaster, WI and attended Rock School then returned to Stanton Ridge at the age of six. Karen attended Center School in Harrison Township until high school. After graduation from Platteville High School in 1957, she married her sweetheart, Kenneth L. Wilson. They farmed thirteen years west of Platteville then bought a farm on Harrison Road. They milked cows, farmed, and raised seven children. They were married until 1979. Karen continued to manage the farm until her passing.

Karen worked at the first recycling program in the city of Platteville. She worked as a CNA at Orchard Manor for ten years in Lancaster, WI and worked other home health positions as well. She enjoyed history, antiques, and the movie “Gone With The Wind”. She loved tending to her flowers and her family. Many of her children’s friends called her “Ma.” Karen never missed an important event in her grandchildren’s lives that she was able to attend. Karen was baptized into the Church of Christ in Platteville and loved the Lord. She often reminded us to “Have a little faith.”

Karen married Norbert Stoker on November 4, 2000 and they shared twelve wonderful years of happiness. They enjoyed church suppers, Lyle Foley concerts and time with their little dog Maggie. Karen will be dearly missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her husband, Norbert Stoker; seven children, Kim (Jean) Wilson of Deerfield, WI; Kurt (Terri) Wilson of Lodi, WI; Lynette (Robert) Potter of Mineral Point, WI; Kevin (Toni) Wilson of Warsaw, IN; Kathy (Dale) Cox of Madison, WI; Erick Wilson of Madison, WI; Elizabeth Wilson of Platteville; step-daughter, Mary Ann Stoker of Lancaster, WI; ten grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; six step great-grandchildren; sisters, Joyce Ohlert of Durant, IA; and Donna Reiter of Rock Hill, SC.
