James "Mo" Martin Becker

MADISON – James Martin “Mo”, Becker, age 47, passed away Monday, May 27, 2013, at his home, unexpectedly from natural causes.

James was born September 27, 1965 to James and Ruby Becker. He graduated from Marshall High School in 1983, where he played football four years and was a member of the choir program. After graduation, James enlisted in the U.S. Army, serving 2 years active duty and received several awards for military achievements. Returning to Madison, he managed various bars, restaurants and clubs. For many years Mo was a very proud member of the Capital City Riders and served as an officer. He loved riding his Harley. Music was an important part of Mo's life and he was well known throughout the Madison music scene as a Promoter and Music Manager at V.N.C. Mo was most recognized as the host of The Arena of Rock on 94.1 WJJO, where he never forgot to thank his Mom for listening. He enjoyed old school D&D, World of Warcraft gaming, hunting and fishing with his dad, the Green Bay Packers, and collecting anything Medieval.

James is survived by his parents; sisters, Kim Hudzinski, Jody (John) Jardine; nieces, Brittany Pankow, Dakota Hudzinski; godchild, Kelsy Marie Nichols; close family friend, Merissa Ann Brylski; and girlfriend Regina Choinoski. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and his C.C. Riders family. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, 2013 at RYAN FUNERAL HOME, 2418 N. Sherman Avenue, Madison. Visitation will be on Sunday at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the time of service.
