Herman L. "Leo" Halverson

Madison – Herman “Leo” Halverson, Jr., age 84, passed away peacefully on Monday, August 26, 2013 at Agrace HospiceCare surrounded by his family.

His loving wife Ruth preceded him in death.

He is survived by his five children, LyAnne, Leslie (Brodie), Chip (Kathy), Ole (Kathy) and Kaia; as well as eight grandchildren, Brandon, Kaia, Blake, Finn, Chelsea, Casey, Taylor and Mikala.

He proudly served his country during the Korean War. He was an established businessman and was highly regarded in his field. His zest for life was greatly enjoyed in his travels to the Minocqua area. He loved going “Up North.” He enjoyed volunteering at St. Patrick Catholic Church especially singing in the choir. His pride and joy was a well-manicured lawn.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 30, 2013 at ST. PATRICK CATHOLIC CHURCH, 404 E. Main Street, Madison, at 10:00 a.m., with Msgr. Kevin Holmes officiating. Burial will take place at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery, Madison. Visitation will be held at the church on Friday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of Mass.

We want to thank all those who showed Leo great kindness in the past few years.
