Brenda Lee Ruhland

Published On: Apr 24 2013 03:01:19 PM CDT

Although her determination to carry on was undeniably fierce, Brenda Lee Ruland (nee: Rosmann) left her fight with cancer for a peaceful eternal life on Wednesday, April 24, 2013. She was surrounded by her devoted family at Agrace Hospice in Fitchburg as she made the journey.

Brenda was born in Kenosha on November 5, 1968 to Kenneth and Joan (Nielson) Rosmann. Brenda attended Ruether High School in Kenosha. She went on to spend many years working as a CNA. Her unconditional care, and ability to see people with illness and disabilities as "people first" touched the lives of many. Most recently, she worked as a server at Blackhawk Family Restaurant in Sauk City.

Brenda was happiest spending time with her husband, Walter; her daughters, Kayla (Scott) Neveri, Kaitlyn Green, and Kara (Damion) Nicoll; two step-children, Heather Ruhland and Matthew Ruhland; and the grandchildren she was always bragging about, Athena, Matthew, and Garrison. Family gatherings will be sadly quieter without Brenda's outgoing personality to fill the room. Also missing Brenda will be her father, Kenneth Rosmann; her sisters, Terry Schneider and Tammy Rosmann; and her brothers, K.J. (Chris) Rosmann and Travis (Jessica) Rosmann; her nine neices and nephews; and her maternal grandmother, Ruth. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joan Rosmann.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at ST. ALOYSIUS CATHOLIC CHURCH, Sauk City, at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 27, 2013. Burial will follow in St. Aloysius Cemetery. Following burial, a luncheon will be held at Blackhawk Family Restaurant. Visitation will be at HOOVERSON FUNERAL HOME, Sauk City, from 4:00 - 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 26, 2013, where a Rosary service will be held at 3:30 p.m. Friends may also call at the funeral home on Saturday morning from 10:00 until 10:45 a.m.
