Richard “Dick” McCluskey

Dodgeville – Richard “Dick” McCluskey, age 63, of Dodgeville, passed away surrounded by his family on Sunday, March 31, 2013 at Upland Hills Health in Dodgeville.

Dick was born on October 3, 1949 in Dodgeville to P.J. and Mary (Paar) McCluskey. He graduated from Dodgeville High School and served 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corp. He was employed at Wingra Stone until early retirement.

Dick is survived by two sons, Thomas (Stacy Kaether) McCluskey, of Chicago and Randy McCluskey, of Sun Prairie; two grandchildren, Chase and MaKenna; his brothers and sisters, Patricia Kilkelly (Ott Boebol), of Dodgeville, Mary Lou (Sam) Ace, of Brooklyn, Kenneth (Kay) McCluskey, of Rockford, IL, Dorothy (Dave) DeVoss, of Dodgeville, Geraldine (Dennis) Ruppert, of Necedah, Barbara (Howard) Wilkinson, of Sheridan, IL, Larry (Carol) McCluskey, of Spring Green, Kay Ann Buechele (Gary Bohn), of Mt. Horeb, Mike (Chris) McCluskey, of Waukesha, Bruce (Laurie) McCluskey, of Ridgeway; his best friend, Russ Symons; many nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Pat McCluskey, his nephew, Howard Wilkinson, Jr., great nephew, Shane Lauffer, and great niece, Carrie Goelzer.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, April 6, 2013 at ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC CHURCH in Dodgeville. Father Patrick Wendler will officiate. Inurnment will be held in St. Joseph’s Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites accorded by the Dodgeville Area Veterans. Friends may call from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. on Friday at the GORGEN-McGINLEY & AYERS FUNERAL HOME in Dodgeville and from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass on Saturday at the church.

  • PHOTOS: Viewers drop off sensitive documents for Shredfest

    The WISC-TV studio parking lot was busy with hundreds of viewers bringing their sensitive documents to be destroyed as part of Shredfest with the Better Business Bureau Saturday morning.

    A combined 1,295 cars dropped off bags of papers at WISC-TV on Raymond Road and SVA Certified Public Accountants firm on John Q. Hammons Drive.

    News 3 and Better Business Bureau team members unloaded bags of documents from viewers' cars and Pellitteri Waste Systems' Data Destruction team put the papers into the shredding trucks.
