Published On: Apr 18 2013 03:42:36 PM CDT

MADISON- Bill “Rosco” McCulloch, age 58, passed away after a brief, courageous battle with cancer on Wednesday, April 17, 2013. He was born on October 15, 1954, to George and Evangeline McCulloch.

He graduated from Monona Grove High School in 1973. Rosco was a member of the Carpenters Union Local 315 since 1973.

He was a creative artist and Blues lover. He was passionate about the outdoors, cooking, gardening, carpentry, his dogs, and biking- especially the annual bike trips with the boys. But most of all, he was passionate about Jesse and Jude, who were his pride and joy. He was a truly honest and good soul, who was humble, and always showed 100% humility. He was always willing to help anyone in need, whether they asked for it or not. Rosco was a fantastic example for everyone else to lead their lives after.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Karen; his son, Jesse (Jenna); his grandson, Jude; his sister, Sharon (John) Swiatek; his sister-in-law, Ann McCulloch; and brothers, Dave (Louan), Mike (Lisa), and Jeff.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, Toby in 2011, and Terry in 2013.

There will be a celebration of Rosco’s life at a later date.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the Wildwood Clinic, Dr. Kim and the staff at Dean Oncology, St. Mary’s 5SW staff, Agrace Hospice, and most of all, his family and friends near and far, for all their support throughout this journey in which we could not have done without them.

Rosco’s philosophy in life was “live to love, and love to laugh.”

Donations would be appreciated to a fund to be set up for Jude’s education.
