Singing fish scares burglar

An unlikely hero saved the day at a bait shop in Minnesota.

An attempted burglary at the Hooked on Fishing bait shop in Rochester apparently came to a screeching halt when the intruder was startled by a motion-activated singing fish, the Minneapolis Star-Tribune reported.

The Big Mouth Billy Bass had been hung by the front door and would launch into "Take Me to the River" anytime someone came in the store.

Police said nothing had been stolen, but that a pile of cash had been left in a "very visible spot."

"I think he did his job and scared whoever it was right out of his tracks, and they ran," shop owner Tom Allen told Minneapolis TV station WCCO.
