Woman stuck between walls China

A Chinese woman trying to take a shortcut ended up stuck between two walls for seven hours.

According to the Independent, the woman chose the narrow path between two buildings in China's Anhui province as a shortcut on her way home recently, then became lodged and unable to move.

She may have been rescued sooner had local residents not thought her calls for help were the cries of a ghost, according to The Huffington Post.

Passersby eventually alerted authorities the next morning.

Once firefighters arrived, she was rescued in about an hour after crews gingerly cut her out of the drywall.

Amazingly, the woman suffered no major injuries, according to Shanghaiist.
