Woman pushed to ground keeps purse from robber

MADISON, Wis. -

Two men tried to rob a woman waiting for a bus Sunday morning, according to a release from the Madison police.

The 57-year-old Madison woman told police she was pushed to the ground while waiting on Northport Drive near Troy Drive around 11:30 a.m. She said she struggled with one of the men for her purse, and was able to hold onto it until the men ran away.

One of the men is described as black, in his mid to late 20s, and 6 feet tall with short hair.
