Samuel L. Jackson would have laughed.

An 8-inch snake as slender as a pen grounded a Qantas flight from Australia to Japan overnight, stranding hundreds of passengers, AFP reported.

The tiny, non-venomous reptile was found near the doorway of the Boeing 747 bound for Tokyo.

The plane had been on the tarmac most of the day Sunday after completing a flight from Singapore, although officials aren't sure if that's where the snake came from, AFP reported.

All 370 passengers were booked into hotels and placed on another flight Monday morning.

Earlier this year, a 9-foot-long python was discovered on a Qantas flight from the tropical Australian city of Cairns to Papua New Guinea's Port Moresby.
