Three men who were angry after being cut off at a swanky hotel bar allegedly turned on a water value in a stairwell, causing $700,000 in damages.

CBS Chicago reports that Carl Koenemann, Benjamin Nitch and Daniel Maradei came to the Chicago Trump Tower bar to drink, but were only served one beverage each because they appeared to the staff to be intoxicated. Assistant State's Attorney Erin Antonietti said the men were seen going into the fire exit stairwell, where they allegedly turned on a water valve, leaving hundreds of thousands of gallons of water to flood into the hotel before engineers could shut the value off.

The men then exited Trump Tower, but police were able to identify them by studying security video and tracing purchases made from a credit card one of the men had used at the bar earlier that night.

The water caused extensive damage to two elevators and some marble flooring, estimated at around $700,000.

Prosecutors say that the men initially pointed the finger at each other after being arrested, but that Nitch finally admitted to turning on the valve. Bond for the Koenemann and Nitch was set at $100,000. If released on bail, they will be placed on electronic monitoring.
