Police say a man caught breaking into his neighbor's home claims he just wanted to borrow some eggs.

The Bucks County Courier Times reports that 20-year-old Christopher King of Middletown, Pennsylvania allegedly climbed through his neighbor's window and entered their home.

Police responded to a report of a burglary in progress and caught King coming out the front entrance. When police searched the home, they found dresser and cabinet drawers and doors open throughout the house, but apparently nothing was stolen.

The homeowner confirmed she knew King, who lives in the neighborhood, but that he didn’t have permission to be in her home.

When police interviewed King, he reportedly claimed he wanted to borrow some eggs to make breakfast for him and his girlfriend, according to Middletown Detective Patrick Nicastro. Once inside, King decided to open drawers looking for valuables to steal, but then reconsidered and didn't end up stealing anything, Nicastro said.

King was arrested on felony burglary and related charges.
