Police: Man attempts to rob Fitchburg business

FITCHBURG, Wis. -

Fitchburg police are looking for a man who attempted to rob a business Tuesday afternoon, according to a release.

Police were dispatched to a business in the 3400 block of Fish Hatchery Road around 4:20 p.m. for a report of an armed robbery, officials said.

The robber demanded cash and items from the business, but left on foot without getting anything, according to the release.

The robber is described as a black man about 6 feet 2 inches tall with a slender build. He was wearing dark clothing and did not display a weapon.
