Police issue 24 citations at Badgers vs. BYU game

MADISON, Wis. -

University of Wisconsin-Madison police ejected 24 people and issued citations during the Badgers football game against BYU Saturday afternoon.

Officials said 20 citations were given for underage drinking, one for obstruction or resisting, two for selling on UW land and one for intentionally contributing to delinquency of a child.

There were 19 ejections without citations, according to a release. Eleven of the ejections were for intoxication.

Officials said 14 of the 24 citations were issued to UW students.

    The WISC-TV studio parking lot was busy with hundreds of viewers bringing their sensitive documents to be destroyed as part of Shredfest with the Better Business Bureau Saturday morning.

    A combined 1,295 cars dropped off bags of papers at WISC-TV on Raymond Road and SVA Certified Public Accountants firm on John Q. Hammons Drive.

    News 3 and Better Business Bureau team members unloaded bags of documents from viewers' cars and Pellitteri Waste Systems' Data Destruction team put the papers into the shredding trucks.
