Police investigate stabbing in Home Depot parking lot

MADISON, Wis. -

Madison police are investigating what led to a stabbing in the parking lot of a west side home improvement store early Wednesday morning.

The incident happened in the parking lot of the Home Depot in the 4600 block of Verona Road just before 2 a.m. Wednesday.

According to Madison police, officers located a man who had been stabbed in the neck on the frontage road in front of the store. An investigation led them to find Devin Walker, 24, of Madison, in the parking lot of the store.

Police determined the two men are coworkers at Home Depot and the incident happened in the parking lot of the store. The victim told police Walker got angry with him for some reason.

Walker has been arrested and tentatively charged with first degree reckless endangerment. The victim has been treated and released from UW Hospital.
